Spa Day!! 3 things to look for before booking

A Spa Day is simply the best way to take a “self-care day”! If you don’t agree, then I’m convinced you haven’t been to a great spa. The only problem is, a spa day could cost you a pretty penny. So for some, it’s also a splurge “self-care day”.

If you’re going to take your hard-earned money and ‘bum it out’ at a spa, here are a few things to consider to make it worth your while –and your money.

  1. Location, location, location — if you have the option to choose a spa with a view, then by all means book it! City views, mountain views, beach views..yes to great views!
  2. Extra Amenities — Why go to the spa for a massage and leave? You’re paying a pretty penny for a rub down, make sure you get some extra free treatments!!! There are all kinds of amenities offered at spas across the country. These things include;  thermal cabin rooms, salt rooms, vitality pools, rain forest showers, igloo rooms, crystal steam rooms, foot spas, ice fountains, saunas, hydrospa experiences and more.  Find the spa that has the amenities that appeals to you. — a spa with a nice gym doesn’t hurt either. You might as well get a workout in before that massage!
  3. Lunch Menu– what’s a spa day without grabbing a bite to eat before having to jet out of there to make it back to real life! Check out the lunch menu before booking and see if there’s anything appealing on it. If mimosas aren’t on the menu then it’s a no go for me, Lol. (kidding, not kidding..:)

I hope these three simple tips help you next time you plan a spa day! And before you say no – after looking at the price of your spa day, remember you deserve to treat yourself and escape mom duties for a few hours. Let someone else treat you for a change. 🙂
