Springing Forward
It’s officially! The first day of Spring is tomorrow and with all this excitement about springing forward, this might actually be a great time to take a step back.
After the holiday craze and New Years resolutions/goal setting deadlines we set for ourselves, heading into a fresh new season could be a great time to take a few deep breaths and relax for second. Especially before all the Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Spring break—if your kids’ spring break hasn’t attacked you yet— business that’s peeking around the corner.
If you’re saying, “ there’s no time to relax” then we have a simple solution that will take less than 10 minutes of your time.
Two words, fresh air!
Getting outside is an easy solution to getting a quick reset. We know that some are still experiencing some cold weather but simply getting a few minutes of fresh air can really do you some good.
We found a list of benefits on how fresh air contributes to your overall health.
Fresh air is good for:
-your digestive system
-improves blood pressure and heart rate
-makes you happier
-strengthens your immune system
-cleans your lungs
-gives you more energy &
-sharpens the mind.
For some it may seem too simple but don’t knock it until you try it. And when you try it (because we believe in you, so you will for sure try it😉) , be intentional about why you’re outside getting fresh air in the first place. You’re getting fresh air because your brain deserves a quick break. You’re getting fresh air because you’re so grateful for the ability to breathe in and out. You’re getting fresh air because you want to be good to yourself!
We truly believe that self- care is a big part of living a happy, healthy life so let’s spring forward in contributing to caring for ourselves a little more by getting outside- even if it’s for only 10 minutes. We can all use a little more happiness these days, and if that means taking a longer stroll to the mailbox while taking a few deep breaths then count me in!
